Embark on Your Life as an Expat in Taiwan

A mountainous island off the coast of China, Taiwan combines spectacular natural views with some of the most modern and densely populated cities in the world. This combination of the old world and the new, combined with a thriving business culture and tourist industry, attracts travelers and full-time expats alike. Key industries in Taiwan include electronics, chemicals, food processing, vehicles, and pharmaceuticals. The business culture in Taiwan embraces many Western ideals, but is also notable for a strongly Confucian influence and a great respect for hierarchy. The overall picture of Taiwan is one of a highly business-driven and motivated industry, with some surprisingly old-world values and a high value placed on respect and community.

InterNations is the largest global network for expatriates, with communities in 420 cities around the world. Meet fellow global minds in your city of residence or get to know local expatriates before you're moving or traveling abroad and never feel like a stranger. InterNations makes it easy for you to stay in touch with your expat friends, both online and offline, so you can grow your network of friends and contacts from all over the world.
