Hiking on the Moléson

This hike from the Moléson observatory offers a stunning 360° panorama at 2,002 meters, followed by a scenic descent through alpine meadows and trails to Plan-Francey. An immersive loop in the Fribourg Pre-Alps, perfect for enjoying spectacular views and the vibrant beauty of the Gruyère region. This hike is approximately 8 kilometers long, with Protected content of ascent and Protected content of descent. At the start of the hike, we will enjoy the summit with a picnic. Then we will follow the ridges towards Teysachaux, before beginning our descent to a pass near Villard-Dessus. We will continue across the meadows and climb up to Plan-Francey, where we will take the funicular back down to Moléson-sur-Gruyères.

Remember to wear good grip walking shoes, bring sunscreen, hat, water, and snack. The walk requires physical fitness and the ability to keep up with the group.
