Let’s discover the Arboretum of Aubonne, a unique botanical park located between Lausanne and Geneva. An arboretum is a site dedicated to the conservation, presentation, and study of woody forest, ornamental, and fruit species. This hike is approximately 11 km long, with Protected content of ascent and descent (moderate level, about 3.5–4 hours). We’ll start in Aubonne, walking up towards the castle, then follow a scenic path offering beautiful views over the region. We’ll then descend to reach the Arboretum, where we’ll take a break and have a picnic. Afterward, we’ll go around the arboretum lakes before starting our return. The route back goes through forests and open fields, passing by Saint-Livres, and offers spectacular views over the Aubonne valley and the Lemanic arc, before we arrive again in Aubonne.
