3 Lakes, 2 Fortresses, 1 Christmas Market Easy Hike

Let us go for an easy hike and visit of the christmas market in Kufstein, located inside the fortress. We can take the chance and explore also the fortress, have a look at the famous pipe organ, which can be heard from time to time and watch the demonstrations of local crafts and art.

On our way we will also visit Thierberg Tower with a great view and a photo exhibition.

Please be sure to wear good shoes (hiking boots or similar).

We will meet at 07:30 in München main station, in front of track 7 (southern side wing) and take the train to Kiefersfelden, departing at 07: Protected content 54). From Kiefersfelden we will walk via the lakes Hechtsee, Längsee, Thierberg Fortress and Prillsee to Kufstein Fortress.

We will probably take the train at 15:01, which should arrive at 16:19 at München main station.

We will cross the border into Austria and probably there will be some customs, so make sure to take your passport or similar with you.

Your ticket valid for regional trains in Germany will also be valid to and from Kufstein station. Also, it might be useful to take some cash with you, if you want to buy something at the market or try some of the drinks and foods.
