Medium Hike to Lac & Roc De Tavaneuse

On this hike you have it all: high peaks, a lake, waterfalls, alpine pastures, abundant flora all along the trail. In addition you escape the city heat.

We start in the Abondance Valley walking through a forest and then a large, open valley up a gentle slope past the chalets de Serannants. 2/3 of the way to the lake the trail steepens a little as we reach the Chalets de la Tavaneuse. We then go up to the lake and eventually to the summit of the Roc de Tavaneuse. The descent by the same route or a loop is possible.

Proper equipment: solid hiking boots (change of shoes for the car) is mandatory! Sun cream and at least 1 litre of water are recommended.
