French Market on A Saturday Morning
Who does not love a stroll through the weekly market in Ferney-Voltaire? And if you do not know the market yet, come and join us and you will love it!
The town of Ferney-Voltaire is renowned for its large weekly market during which nearly Protected content welcome a large local and Genevan population around the town hall, Grand'rue and along Avenue Voltaire. The market takes place every Saturday from 8am to 1pm. Fresh fruits and vegetables, fish and seafood, meat and sausages, bread and pastries, cheese, clothes, accessories, household goods - you can find it all and much more!
We will meet at 10am at the Fontaine de Ferney-Voltaire at the intersection of Rue de Meyrin and Grand'rue/Rue de Genève.
Due to the usual low show-rate at InterNations activities we are not setting a limit for the number of attendees. Also, the more the merrier! :-) If the group turns out to be too large to stay together we can split into smaller groups to explore the market and then later meet at a meeting point to have a drink or a coffee together.
The market is easily reachable with public transportation from Geneva. It would be most convenient to take the 60/61 bus to Ferney Centre as the stop Ferney Mairie will not be operational due to the market.
We look forward to seeing you there!
