Attend A Rhetorical Debate With Geneva's Club of Public Speaking
Ready to do something a bit different together?
We’re heading to a live rhetorical debate organised by a public speaking organisation, "Societe Genevoise de Rhetorique", and it promises to be both stimulating and fun!
The event is free, French‑spoken, and takes place at the university UNIGE, making it very easy to access. The format is based on parliamentary debate, so they'll be debating a government bill.
Beyond the social side, this debate is a chance to sharpen the way we think and communicate: how arguments are structured, how opinions are framed, and how ideas can be expressed clearly and convincingly in conversation. Whether you enjoy debating, are curious about rhetoric, or simply want to observe and learn, there’s something to take away for everyone.
No prior experience needed to attend — just curiosity and an interest in engaging discussion.
Note that active participation to the debate is possible with prior registration with the club: Protected content
If you’re up for an enriching evening that combines learning, conversation, and good company, come along!
