An Evening under the Stars : Observe the Sky With Telescopes

🔭WHAT?
Join us for a unique evening at a historic hilltop of Protected content

🤝BY WHOM?
Hosted by the French association of astronomy, this event offers a rare opportunity to observe the sky through professional telescopes during the Perseids period.

🏰HOW?
- The Fort opens at 9pm until 12am.
- They'll give a short introductory speech (time not specified).
- There will be three observation decks (entrance, terrace and exit).
- Passionate astronomy enthusiasts will share knowledge /answer questions (some speak English).
- Additional screens will reflect what shows on the telescope.
- There is a cafe inside, with chairs.
- No specific picnic space: better to have your dinner at home and bring snacks if needed.
- Free of charge.

🌙WHERE?
The event is held at the Fort itself.

🔗HOW TO GET THERE?
Participants can arrive by car and:
(1) park at the entrance of the front (few spaces, arrive way before 9pm), or
(2) a-park further away and b-take a shuttle service up to the Fort (at the crossing between Rue des Iles / Rue du Rhône, Protected content , France).

Free shuttle transfer from 8pm to 12am (last departure from the Fort).
