Feel the Rhythm of Brazil - Initiation to Drum & Dance

Looking for something energising and different this weekend?

Join us this Sunday for an Afro-Brazilian music and dance workshop with live percussions.

The workshop will be accompanied by percussionist Marcelo Amaro, a highly regarded Brazilian percussionist who comes from a family of musicians and has built a strong reputation in the Afro-Brazilian music scene.
The class will be led by Luanda Mori, a reference in Geneva for Afro-Brazilian dance.
(note Afro-Brazilian is different from samba, lambada, forro and other more modern brazilian dances; it is rather rooted in traditions & celebrates human connection with nature)

There will be 3 workshops, you can pick the ones you like or attend the full day ('I'll attend the 2 last workshops):
⏱️10: Protected content - Initiation to drumming, using your body as an instrument
⏱️13: Protected content - Sylvestre technique: a class more oriented toward Brazilian contemporary dance technique
⏱️15: Protected content - Afro-Brazilian dance class with live drums: dancing to live drums creates an incredible connection between movement and rhythm that simply cannot be replicated with recorded music.

No previous dance experience required, just curiosity and a willingness to move!
