A day in Passau, the three rivers city

We use the opportunity given by the 9€ ticket to make a one day visit of Passau. The city has a very nice historical center.
Passau is also known as the Dreiflüssestadt, which means the “City of Three Rivers.” It is because the Danube, Inn, and Ilz all intersect here in a picturesque setting.
Passau's roots reach back to Roman times. The area was settled sometime between Protected content 450 AD and was the Episcopal seat of the Roman Empire in Protected content .
The trip using regional trains takes around 2 hours so bring some food and drinks. We will have a lot of time for peple who like talking a lot and socializing but alternatively feel free to bring a book to read. I will bring my music box in case it can be used.
Schedule of the trip:
- we leave Munich with the train RE Protected content 8:24 a.m and reach Passau at 10:39.
- we come back with the train RE Protected content 18:26 p.m and reach Munich at 20:39.
