Culinary Places - Let's Go to the Farm Festival (Hoffest)
In the cooking group I like to introduce special culinary places. After the great brunch at the Braun organic farm last month, let's visit the Kartoffelkombinat this time.
On Saturday, 12 July, there will be a cosy farm festival at the Kartoffelkombinat organic vegetable farm. Let's celebrate together and get to know the Kartoffelkombinat better.
The doors are open. We can walk around the farm, take part in a guided tour and simply have a good time. As always, there will be a (vegetarian) buffet to bring along, pizza will be baked and there will be cheap drinks, such as their home-brewed, delicious beer. They will probably also be offering a plant sale again.
Children are very welcome. So feel free to bring your family along. In addition to games, there will be children's Olympics.
So let's go.
What is Kartoffelkombinat?
Imagine knowing exactly where your food comes from. You know the people who grow it and can visit the farm at any time. And you get a box full of fresh organic vegetables every week. The Kartoffelkombinat combines good vegetables and good economics. As a cooperatively organised community-supported agriculture (SoLaWi/CSA), they grow over 50 crops of organic vegetables just outside Munich - fairly and seasonally. What started as a small group is now Germany's largest SoLaWi/CSA with over 3,000 households. And was honoured with the EU Organic Award in Protected content , for example.
