Can and Me
Can was a German experimental rock band formed in Cologne in Protected content Holger Czukay (bass, tape editing), Irmin Schmidt (keyboards), Michael Karoli (guitar), and Jaki Liebezeit (drums). The group used several vocalists, most prominently the American Malcolm Mooney Protected content and the Japanese Damo Suzuki Protected content have been widely hailed as pioneers of the German krautrock scene.
Coming from backgrounds in the avant-garde and jazz, Can blended elements of psychedelic rock, funk, and musique concrète on influential albums such as Tago Mago Protected content , Ege Bamyasi Protected content Future Days Protected content . Der Film zeigt den Weg vom klassischen Dirigenten über den Schüler von Stockhausen und Ligeti zu CAN, weiter über Filmmusik für Wim Wenders und Roland Klick, Oper bis zur elektronischen Clubmusik.
