In the exhibition “How Pictures Tell Stories”, we invent new stories together based on old artworks: Who are the people, creatures, and animals depicted in the paintings of the Old Masters, and what defines them? What is happening in the moment captured by the artists – and what happened before, how might it continue?

With professional help by Renate Groß (actor, director, and theatre educator) and Caroline Tajib-Schmeer (choreographer, director, and dance educator), we develop characters, dialogues, and scenes – spontaneous, funny, and guaranteed to have plot‑twist potential.

For all age groups – no prior knowledge needed, just imagination and a sense of humor!
