Deutsches Museum - Coal Mine and High Voltage - last opportunity

Last chance to see some of the highlights before they close down for renovation - or forever.
The Deutsches Museum, the world's largest museum of science and technology is being renovated since Protected content . Half of the building has been completely refurbished and will open to the public soon. Then the remaining parts of the building are next, including some of their most famous exhibitions like the coal mine under the museum or the High Voltage demonstration, where a museum employee is exposed to a lightning strike live in a Faraday cage.
The High Voltage exhibition will probably come back in a few years. The mine is going to close forever on June 29. They may build a new one some day, if they ever get the funding, but that may take decades. So let's go there one last (or first) time.
The daily program is updated at 9:20 every morning. The coal mine is usually open from 9 AM to 5 PM. The lightning show is twice daily, at 11 AM and 4 PM.
