Advent Markets at Lake Tegernsee

Ready for a truly magical Advent season experience? Join us for a trip to the Christmas Markets at Lake Tegernsee. Three markets sit along the lakeshore, and a shuttle boat takes us from one to the next - especially beautiful once it gets dark.

There will be local food, mulled wine, Feuerzangenbowle, Bavarian whisky punch, and around 20 regional artisans and vendors offering handcrafted products. Expect festive performances by local bands and traditional clubs - plus great views of the lake and mountains, of course.

We’ll head down by train from Munich, but you’re free to meet us at the Tegernsee station, at the first market, or join later along the way.

Our train is scheduled to arrive in Tegernsee at 2:09 p.m. We’ll spend an hour there, then move on to Rottach for another hour, and continue on to Bad Wiessee, aiming to arrive there around 5 p.m. for the Krampuslauf.

We’ll post updates on the wall so you can easily find us or join along the way.

The markets and shuttle boats run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. I’m planning to catch the 6:52 train back to Munich, but stay as long as you like.
