WE ARE HIRING: Program Scheduling Manager (Bogotá)

CLASS TITLE: Program Scheduling Manager
ROLE & LEVEL: Leader

Responsible for overseeing the implementation of the network’s yearly and monthly programming schedules in-line with the overall programming strategies while coordinating to ensure efficient use of content and the achievement of ratings goals. Responsible for supervising the program scheduling team in order to optimize content scheduling. Works with the Programming team to identify and create promotable events. Works with the Content Strategy team to help improve market share and ratings for the networks. Suggests ways to optimize the variety of programming between channels in order to make the channels more competitive.


• Coordinates with the Programming Director and programmers to design and maintain ongoing and future programming tactics and strategies
• Supervises the programmers regarding the monthly programming grids for their assigned networks and communicates this schedule to necessary groups
• Generates a quarterly program plan calendar with highlights for each channel
• Analyzes ratings for channels and develops strategies to maximize and correct any defects
• Works with internal departments to analyze competition, track trends, and drive future strategy based on specific results
• Develops monthly briefs, in coordination with the Content Director and the scheduling team, containing key information about the highlights and promotional priorities of each channel in order to guide the development of branding and content campaigns
• Identifies the programming targeted for promotion and main premieres
• Implements and tracks the programming model of the channels in order to maximize usage of premieres
• Makes the necessary adjustments to maximize content offering and competitiveness by cross-checking the channel programming with competitors
• Sets rating goals for each channel and coaches the scheduling team on how to reach the goals
• Supports implementation of programming strategies
• May prepare an operating budget and monitor expenses
• Responsible for coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field; supplemented by five or more years’ progressively responsible experience in television programming, content research, ratings analysis, acquisitions, and/or market research and statistics; previous experience in the pay TV industry and marketing preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
