Dean of Students-HS
Emirates International School – Jumeirah is seeking to recruit a Dean of Students-HS to join the High School Management Team.
Applicants should have international and/or IB experience. Fluency in Arabic would also be highly desirable. Applicants should have a strong grounding in academic and welfare issues, possibly with a counselling background, or at minimum, a clear understanding of teenage behaviour. They would need to be able to articulate their understanding of motivational factors, possessing a mind-set that seeks to work with students as partners in their learning while maintaining firmness as required.
The role demands a strong understanding of the use of data to monitor student wellbeing and academic progress as well as a capacity for creativity and innovation. Finally, as a leader of student events, trips, and other non-academic student matters, previous organizational management would be a bonus.
The Dean of Students reports directly to the Head of Secondary and serves as the leader for effective Pastoral Care in the High School, Years Protected content .

Teacher of PE (with rugby)
