Living in Nantes

Nantes is a beautiful city in the west of France, situated on the Loire River and surrounded by some stunning scenery. It is the sixth largest city in France and is known by its nickname as “La cité des Ducs de Bretagne” which means “The City of the Dukes of Brittany’, of which it used to be the capital, although it separated from Brittany in the 18th century. Nantes is regarded as a fantastic city to live in, with a rich culture as well as being an important business center for the region. For expatriates living in Nantes, there are many sights to see including the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, which is home to the city’s History Museum as well as the Cathedral of Saint Pierre and Saint Paul, a Gothic cathedral which was completed in 1891. Moving to Nantes

Nantes was once named by Time as being ‘the most livable city in Europe’, and is especially popular with expats.
