Randonne Á Chamonix

Friends, I’d love to invite you on a little mountain adventure! 🏔️✨

This Saturday, we’re heading to Chamonix and hiking up to Montenvers — one of the most beautiful spots in the Alps.

🌿 We’ll follow a scenic forest trail with stunning mountain views and fresh alpine air.
⛰️ The ascent takes about 2–3 hours, with an elevation gain of approximately 850–900 m — a comfortable but rewarding hike. We’ll go at an easy pace, with breaks along the way.

✨ At the top, we’ll reach the legendary Mer de Glace (“Sea of Ice”):
• visit the ice cave inside the glacier
• explore the mineral (semi-precious stones) museum
• or simply enjoy the breathtaking Alpine views

🎒 What to bring:
• picnic and water
• sunscreen and a hat
• a light down jacket (it’s very cold inside the ice cave)
• a spare T-shirt
• hiking poles (optional but helpful)
• optionally, a bottle of wine or other drinks 🍷

⬇️ Descent: either on foot or by train.

📍 Meeting point: 10:00 AM at Aiguille du Midi

🚍 Getting there:
From Geneva you can take FlixBus — about 1h 15 min, with regular connections.
💶 Cost: approximately €20–30 round trip.
