LET´S EXPLORE A BAVARIAN VILLAGE
Dear all,
summer is the best season to explore some of the idyllic villages in Bavaria.
We can easily reach Mittenwald by train from the main station in Munich:
Located very close to the Austrian border, Mittenwald is famous for its violin-making tradition thanks to Matthias Klotz, who, having learnd the craft in Cremona at the Amati workshop, brought it here in Protected content . In the Geigenbaumuseum, housed in Klotz’s birthplace, visitors can now admire the masterpieces produced by Bavarian masters and gain an insight into the process of crafting this magical instrument.
The Baroque church of Saints Peter and Paul stands in the centre of the village; its distinctive frescoed façade echoes the village’s main feature: its painted houses.
*In case of bad weather I will cancel the activity and propose an alternative
Best wishes,
Lidia
