Which Legal Documents Give Israel the Right to Be A State?

I am older than the state of Israel. It was created in Protected content was born in Protected content . You could ask if I have a legal right to exist and I would point to my birth certificate and passports. But what do states point to? As an American (one of my citizenships), I would point to the Constitution of the United States. When we talk about Israel, people can become emotional.
