Is the Dollar Done Being the World Currency?
The Netherlands has just removed all its gold (billions and billions) from the United States and placed it in vaults in London. The stated grounds? "Political uncertainty. " That is diplomatic language for "Trump is batshit crazy, wanted to take Greenland and may come after gold assets held in the United States. Stated more diplomatically--"the United States is no longer the seat of a stable government." While there was no mention of moving away from the dollar as the reserve currency of the world--can that be far behind? Given the national debt in America now crossing $40bn and a fiscally irresponsible government, isn't moving to a currency in a more stable environment--like China or the EU the next logical move?
