InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Bogota

Hello to all Americans in Bogota! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Bogota? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Bogota which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Bogota is one of the most culturally diverse cities in Latin America. The Colombian capital is a large, cosmopolitan city known for its friendly locals, wonderful culinary scene, intoxicating atmosphere, and much more! With the bus rapid transit system and road links, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in Usaquén or Teusaquillo, for example, which are less than a 30-minute journey away from Bogota’s center.

Although Bogota has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Bogota, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.

I was a little bit afraid before moving to Colombia - a new language, security issues, no friends. InterNations helped me settle in, though.
