I loved moving to Brussels. But after a while I felt homesick. On InterNations I met a bunch of people from the US. That helped a lot.

InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Brussels

Hello to all Americans in Brussels! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Brussels? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Brussels which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Brussels is about as multicultural as it gets. The Belgian capital is a very international city known for being the de facto capital of the EU, but also for its contemporary arts scene, historic landmarks including the Grand Place, and much more! With the comprehensive network of multiple underground, tram, and bus lines run by the STIB/MIVB covering all 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital region as well as some nearby suburbs, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in Ixelles/Elsense municipality or the east of Schaerbeek, for example, which are just a short commute away from Brussels’s center.

Although Brussels has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Brussels, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
