• Jobs and rules can shift suddenly. Only 36% rate the local job market positively, and Filipinos mention abrupt changes to labour rules.

• Some face discrimination. While locals are described as friendly, some Filipinos report being treated differently by certain expats or employers.

• The heat and food options take adjusting. Just 32% rate the climate and weather positively, and overall happiness (58%) sits below the global average of 68%.

For Filipinos, Doha offers safety, good healthcare, easy transport, and a stable, peaceful base close to strong salaries. The trade-offs are the cost of housing, shifting job rules, and the heat. It rewards those who come with a solid contract and a plan to save.
