My client, a leading supplier of Chemical Simulation Software & Applications are seeking an Account Manager to join their Key Markets team, focusing on Asian Markets. The company employ a talented team of developers and scientists to support companies in the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic and Chemical Industries across a Global Remit.
As an Account Manager you will be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers and end users across the major Asian Markets (Japan, China and South Korea). Reporting to the Director of Member Services the aim of this role is to provide support to distribution partners, offering excellent account management experience to increase market presence and perception as a principal scientific knowledge sharing organisation. This is a business critical hire for the company with responsibility for fast growing markets with great potential.
In order to strengthen relationships, you will maintain regular communication to provide support and advice on identification of new markets, facilitate introductions to regulatory bodies and deliver technical training.
The company are at the forefront of production of knowledge based systems across all major chemical markets. Operating a not for profit business model they facilitate data sharing projects through a strong network of global and regional suppliers & distributors. Established in the Protected content the company have built a strong brand name across industries such as Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Cosmetics.
The successful candidate will be fluent in Japanese with an understanding of Japanese business culture. Additional languages are desirable. As an account manager you will be expected to talk on a technical level and will therefore be Scientifically Qualified, ideally with a graduate degree in Chemistry or similar. The role will present the opportunity for international travel to meet with distributors based across Japan, China and South Korea but also with potential for relevant business in Europe. Experience in an account management, technical support or training is desirable but not essential.
