InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Porto

Hello to all Americans in Porto! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Porto? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Porto which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Porto has more to offer than just the famous liqueur it gave its name to. The Portuguese “Northern Jewel” is a coastal city known for its stately bridges, delicious pastry, narrow cobbled streets, and much more! With the metro, bus, and funicular services, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in the more residential areas such as Foz do Douro, for example, which are simply a bus journey away from Porto’s center.

Although Porto has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Porto, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
