InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Geneva

Hello to all Americans in Geneva! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Geneva? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Geneva which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Geneva is Switzerland’s most global city. The financial center is a lakeside city known for its high quality of life but equally high cost of living, being home to numerous international organizations, including headquarters of the WHO, WTO, and Red Cross, and much more! With the comprehensive transportation network with trams and buses (Transports Publics Genevois), ferry services run by two companies, and regional and international train connections, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in neighboring towns, including for example French Annemasse, Saint-Julien-en-Genevais, which are no more than a 30 to 40-minute train ride away from Geneva’s center.

Although Geneva has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Geneva, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
