• It's safe, clean, and superbly run. Standout scores: 98% of expats in Singapore rate personal safety positively, 96% public transport, and 96% getting around on foot or by bike.

• Careers and the economy are world-class. 96% rate the state of the economy positively, 92% political stability, and 80% say the move improved their career prospects.

• Healthcare quality and green space stand out. 90% rate the quality of medical care positively, and Indians praise the parks, cleanliness, and quality of life.

• It's easy to live in. 69% find bureaucracy easy (vs. 38% globally) and 65% get by fine without the local language, with a vast food and culture scene.

• Housing and costs are brutal. Just 8% of expats in Singapore rate housing affordability positively and 20% the general cost of living, among the lowest scores in the survey.

• Healthcare is expensive. Only 29% rate healthcare affordability positively, against 61% globally.

• Work-life balance and belonging can suffer. Only 50% are happy with their work-life balance and 32% say making local friends is easy, with some Indians reporting bias in the rental market.

• Work passes limit flexibility. Switching jobs or hiring dependents on an employment pass is a recurring frustration.

For Indians, Singapore is safe, efficient, and unbeatable for careers, healthcare, and a clean, green quality of life. The trade-offs are punishing housing and healthcare costs and a demanding work culture. It rewards ambitious professionals who plan around the price of living.
