InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Augsburg

Hello to all Americans in Augsburg! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Augsburg? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Augsburg which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: living in Augsburg means living in one of Germany’s oldest cities. The university town is a very livable city known for its long history, ranging from the Roman Empire, to the rich banking families of the Welsers and Fuggers in the Middle Ages, to its role in the Reformation and its military importance during WWII, but also for being the birthplace of the Diesel motor, having the most public holidays in Germany, and much more! With the tram, bus, and regional train services, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in surrounding suburbs, which are not too far away from Augsburg’s center.

Although Augsburg has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Augsburg, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
