InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Berlin

Hello to all Americans in Berlin! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Berlin? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Berlin which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for stïż turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Berlin is a great place to go to — and not only for history buffs interested in its eventful past. The German capital is a busy city known for not only its divided history prior to the German reunification, being home to the German government, but also its number of world-renowned institutes of higher education, dynamic arts and music scene, and much more! With the extensive public transportation network coordinated by the Deutsche Bahn and the BVG with buses, trams, underground lines (U-Bahn), suburban trains (S-Bahn), and even ferries, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in one of Berlin’s outer boroughs, such as Pankow or Treptow-Köpenick, which are about 10 to 20 km away from Berlin’s center.

Although Berlin has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Berlin, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
