I've been looking for a shop where to buy German food here in Bangkok. Fellow expats on InterNations finally told me how to find the right stores.

InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Bangkok

Hello to all Americans in Bangkok! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Bangkok? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Bangkok which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Bangkok’s rapid development hasn’t just brought about positive changes, with the city struggling to accommodate an ever growing population and improve the local infrastructure. Nevertheless, Bangkok has much to offer. The Thai capital is a rapidly growing city known for its numerous temples and giant Buddha statues — a must-see on every tourist’s list — but also for its mix of modern and traditional houses, the famous street food and variety of markets, and much more! With the expanding public transportation network including buses, elevated train lines (BTS or Skytrain), the Bangkok metro (MRT), very affordable car and motorcycle taxis (motorsai), as well as canal taxis and river ferries, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in outer districts such as Bang Na or Bang Kapi, which are roughly 20 km away from Bangkok’s center.

Although Bangkok has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Bangkok, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
