Bristol is a city that attracts outdoorsy types as it has dozens of parks and was named as the UK's first ever cycling city in 2008. Seven years later, it was also recognized as the Green Capital of Europe. However, it isn't just great scenery and rich history that attracts expats to Bristol. The city has the sixth largest Gross Value Added (GVA) in England and was one of the few places that continued to enjoy economic growth during the recent global recession.
