Project Director for Summer Camp at EFGH (Houston)

Education Française Greater Houston is currently recruiting for the position of Summer Camp Project Director
in charge of creating and managing French immersion
summer camps for summer Protected content
Summer camps welcome both Francophone and Anglophone students, ages Protected content .
Our goals are to offer complete immersion in French Language and also to develop an appreciation of French culture.
In addition to one-hour daily French courses, students will benefit from a number of different recreational activities.
Mission Objectives- Summer Camp Project Director
 develop, organize and coordinate the setup of EFGH summer camps.
 define and establish ways of promoting the summer camps.
 attain the goals above, as approved by EFGH.
Organizational Structure
The Summer Camp Project Director is directly under the authority of the EFGH Director and reports to
him/her.
Principal Activities
 Seek and research potential summer camp sites which meet EFGH needs/goals, and present them
for approval.
Public Relations
 put in place various methods for promoting the summer camps.
 promote the summer camps to both Francophone and Anglophone communities in Houston.
 stay informed of current activities, organizations, and events in Houston where summer camps can
be promoted and where EFGH might participate.
Enrollment Management
 organize and give all enrollment details to the webmaster for finalizing on the EFGH website
 coordinate student enrollment with the EFGH treasurer.
 ensure that objectives/goals for the number of students enrolled are met.
 attain budgetary objectives.
Human Resources Management
 create job descriptions for the posts of Summer Camp Associate Directors and Camp Counsellors.
 create job employment offers for these posts and publicize them.
 recruit candidates for employment.
 recruit any volunteers needed for the proper functioning of summer camps, with EFGH volunteer
coordinator.
 manage and coordinate Summer Camp Associate Directors. Protected content
Internal Communications
 create a welcome/orientation booklet for personnel and training sessions for all personnel
interacting with students.
 prepare a schedule of the entire project and update as changes occur.
 report to the EFGH Director weekly regarding ongoing activities, progress, and expenses incurred.
 create a report and analysis on the results at the end of the project.
Logistics Management
 establish a list of basic materials needed for various activities proposed during summer camps.
 research the best suppliers in terms of quality, quantity, delivery, and cost.
 respect the budget allocated.
 order materials and follow-up on orders.
 organize the delivery and distribution of materials to the various sites where they will be used.
Desired Profile
• valid work permit (if applicable).
• ability to manage complex projects quickly and accommodate changes.
• aptitude for project management and team building.
• skills in communication and inter-personal relations.
• independence in daily work activities.
• ability to work in a team.
• knowledge of office software, including Excel.
• knowledge of French preferred.
• commercial work experience a plus.
• non-profit association experience appreciated.
Proposal
• Paid position to be filled from mid-November, Protected content mid-July, Protected content .
• Free summer camp for children of Project Director.
