Technical Project Manager (Lagos)

Responsibilities for
Developing project plans, goals, and budgets; identifying resources needed
Developing schedules and methods for measuring results
Guiding and performing strategic analysis for the project
Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion
Assembling and coordinating project team members; assigning individual responsibilities
Preparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products
Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
Establish and implement training processes and strategies for all technical personnel
Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical team while ensuring all teams are actively working toward established milestones
Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company during projects
Recruit and train exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within the technical department. Clear understanding of technical roles
Update and maintain all production technologies ensuring proper maintenance and installation

Qualifications for Technical Project Manager
BA/MSc in IT/ Business or related technical field required
Professional Agile Product/Project Management Certification
4-6 full end to end implementations lifecycle over a period of 2 to 4 years.
Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and different methodologies such as waterfall, Agile and other associated frameworks.
Clear understanding and use of project tracking tools such as VSTS, TFS, Jira and Excel
Good command of management tracking and effective reporting.
Experience mentoring, coaching and developing rising talent in the technology department
Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
Understands various phases of project lifecycle (Requirement, design, analysis, testing and deployment) and can ensure proper coordination of each phase.
Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
