Fairmont Hotel Chengdu - Manhattan Marcom Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:

Marketing Manager is required at all times to be in observance of Hotel and Company policies and procedures, and interdepartmental cooperation.
Observance of Hotel and Company policies and procedures including promotion and participation

in the Colleague Engagement Survey (CES), Health and Safety and JD Power initiatives.

Monitor and strictly adhere to company and hotel Social media policies and regulations.

Manage and execute a commerce strategy to include all marketing efforts of the property including traffic and revenue generation programs via SEO, SEM, affiliate relationships, email, and other online mechanisms. These programs will cover both acquiring new customers and encouraging repeat visits by existing customers.

Own and manage all hotel databases, ensuring additions and updates are made in a timely manner

and adds blasts from the different areas are controlled.

Coordinate Hotel campaigns locally for packages, food & beverage and Willow Stream offers as well as campaigns executed through the campaign team at Fairmont Corporate office.

Oversee customer retention strategies using email, newsletters, social online media, and telephone messaging etc. to increase customer frequency.

Continuously improve the online experience and take the initiative on specific new efforts (i.e. Chinese micro site).

Responsible for content updates on Fairmont.com and Hotel micro site including new landing pages that are designed to bring visitors to the property. Coordinating the hotels web composer team representatives from all departments.

Champion social media strategies (i.e. newsletter, magazine, radio, on-line websites: TripAdvisor, Twitter, Weibo, Baidu Knows, Sina Blog, weichat, etc) including daily and weekly entries submitted from each department.

Manage presence on targeted sites and acquire links from local/regional tourism sites.

Manage the properties advertising efforts including display advertising, ad networks, paid directory inclusions etc. Identify the most compelling ad imagery & copy for the local market.

Daily checks on social media feedback and owning responses coordinated with Exec office and relevant departments

Identify new trends and opportunities for the property.

Coordinate internal marketing such as in-room channels etc.

Assist the Director of Marketing Communications in hosting blogger and media FAMs, and in day to day Marketing Communication duties.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year experience in Marketing Communications and working with Internet and Online marketing.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in working with creative agencies.

Fast learner, can learn new programs and tasks quickly and effectively.

Comfortable working with various Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Bilingual Mandarin / English are essential.

Career and results oriented with the ability to be flexible with hours, days off, assignment and additional duties.

Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.

High guest service skills.

Legitimate citizen to work in China, Fremont's administration department will assist with work visa and relevant criteria.
