GE - Vice President, Asia Business Development (Chengdu)
The VP, Asia BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT role will report directly to the Global Commercial Leader and will lead the company’s development and implementation of commercial offerings in the Asia region. The role will also identify and pursue opportunities to expand offerings within the GE store.
This role will help GECAS AMS grow by identifying and executing upon opportunities of selling airframe and brand X engine parts, purchasing aircraft and engines, and seeking component leasing opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a broad mix of technical skills, strategic sophistication and leadership presence;Develop and implement product offerings that drive revenue generation to include parts sales, parts package sales, aircraft/engine sales, leasing, product distribution, planning and others as identified by the individual and by the business; Develop and grow strategic alliances/agreements with new or and existing customer base; Locate and execute purchasing of aircraft and engines to support the wider business needs; Collaborate with GECAS; Partner with commercial leadership to prioritize and align growth priorities; support design of annual key account growth; customize existing solutions to meet customer needs and requirements; Lead the deal approval process for identified products & opportunities to include due diligence, team coordination, deal structuring, contract negotiation, and deal communications (internal and external); Sustain a thorough understanding of core markets, dynamics and adjacencies including competitive environment and position to identify developing market/industry opportunities; partner with product management and commercial leadership to act on recommendations and insights; Ensure compliance with the GE's Spirit and letter maintaining integrity in all intercompany and customer interactions; promote a culture of quality and integrity with a customer-centric mindset.
Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Finance, Sciences or Engineering; 7+ years proven Asia region aviation sales & business development with demonstrated ability to deliver results; Robust & comprehensive understanding of aviation parts industry & Asian customer base specifically; Willingness and ability to travel as required
Ability to work in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment; Excellent facilitation, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively communicate a compelling view of future state facilitating understanding and business approval; Experience in product innovation; Ability to work independently and without supervision; Experience managing C level strategic relationships and strategic customer engagement programs; Strong execution focus with ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously; Strong business and finance acumen; Strong external focus; experience being the main interface with external customers with a record of creating successful customer relationships; Comprehensive knowledge of GE organizational structure (GE Employees Only); Comfortable with uncertainty and statistics; able to make sound judgment calls.
